- The Gallery of Good is an inclusive space intended to bring joy to all who come into its space. We expect everyone who attends to be respectful & inclusive of all diversities. We ask that all attendees are sensitive to people with differences.
- Classes at the Gallery of Good are limited to 6 students per session allowing a comfortable intimate learning atmosphere while allowing plenty of one-on-one teaching time for each student in order to enjoy the best learning experience.
- The first 3 weeks we will explore the different hand-building methods of slab, coil & pinch pots. The 4th week we will have a turn on the potters wheel and the final two weeks you are able to choose your own adventure! Most sessions will be a mix of decorating and making.
- Students are encouraged to search the internet, magazines etc for inspiration and to make a visual diary of ideas (either using a book or making a pinterest board) - however, please be respectful of artists copyright and while I encourage you to be inspired by others work, please do not copy. STUDENT TESTIMONIALS:
"I have always had an interest in pottery but always felt I would be hopeless at it and didn’t feel like I would be able to create anything. I decided it was time for me to do something for myself other than work and home life. I took the leap of faith and I won’t ever look back. I have thoroughly enjoyed going every week and learning a new skill. I am so excited to go each and every week. I love that we never have a dull moment there is lots of laughs and a good time all while attempting to create something. Ruth has provided us with a beautiful warm welcoming environment which she should be very proud of. I would recommend her to anyone who was interested in trying something new. I am looking forward to moving into the intermediate class next term."
"The Gallery of Good is such a positive, warm environment to learn and create in. Ruth offers such skill, encouragement and absolutely no judgment. It soon becomes your happy place. I would never have called myself creative but I feel it here."
"Pottery at Gallery of Good isn't just pottery. It's a social interaction of laughter and connectivity with others. It is an experience of learning and growing one's self confidence in an accept all attitude. Where you are praised for your individuality and leaving not only with knowing more about pottery, but a feeling of happiness and contentment with your life. I highly recommend Ruth's classes."
"Gallery of Good - “good” is one word to describe the incredible, warm and hilarious environment that Ruth has. I have never been an art person, and I am a perfectionist to say the least. But I have found my happiness through Ruth’s guidance she has praised the imperfections and made me realise when things don’t go the way I vision, they can still be beautiful. I would never have thought I was enjoy myself this much or fall in love with pottery and ceramics , but here I am! I highly recommend anyone and everyone to take part in this wonderful and EPIC class ❤️."

Made in the Gallery of Good
All of Ruth’s ceramics are made with LOVE in her purpose built studio, The Gallery of Good, on the lands of the GunaiKurnai peoples, in the Strzelecki ranges joust outside of Trafalgar in West Gippsland, Victoria, AUSTRALIA.
Every piece is intended to bring joy and as a reminder of the importance of love; hence why Ruth uses a love heart in her makers mark on the bottom of each piece and you will often see love hearts used decoratively across her work.
