Intro to Throwing on the Pottery Wheel (SAT 26th April) 10am -12noon

Join us in the Gallery of Good (19 Sunnyburn Rd TRAFALGAR, 3824)  for our 2hour ‘Introduction to throwing on the Pottery wheel’ session.

We will discuss clay preparation, centering and basic throwing. 
I will demonstrate these processes & the safety considerations in ceramics before you get time to explore on the wheel for yourself.

• This class is kept to 6 people to allow me to give students maximum attention.
  
• All tools and equipment are provided however please bring an apron and a large towel & wear closed toe shoes & SHORT clipped nails (long nails and pottery do not mix).
  
• Students will choose a maximum of 3 pieces each to be glazed in a studio glaze.
  
• Pieces will be available for collection between 2-4 weeks after session. Any pieces not collected will be donated to charity.
  
• NB: We have 2 resident Ragdoll cats in our gallery. Please be aware that we take no responsibility for allergies so please take appropriate antihistamine treatment prior to coming to the Gallery.
  
• Bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE so please check dates carefully. Class needs a minimum of 2 participants to go ahead (bookings will be credited onto another date if class cancelled for this reason.) 
  
• ALL pieces must be labelled clearly with the makers name. No liability is made for lost work.
• Come with an open attitude and a sense of humour to best enjoy this experience.

• Please note: We do not take any responsibility for student’s work cracking during any part of the making process. Most often this is how the maker assembled the piece. Whilst we endeavour to teach you how to avoid this during the making process, unfortunately sometimes losses occur during the pottery making process. No guarantees are made to final pieces coming out whole. It is all part of the learning experience of pottery.

• Due to small class sizes we can only issue a refund in case of health reasons. All bookings are final once payment is made. The Gallery of Good does not offer refunds for change of mind/circumstance.
