What a great way to build a relationship with your kid- doing something fun as beginners - TOGETHER!!

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
- The Gallery of Good is an inclusive space intended to bring joy to all who come into its space. We expect everyone who attends to be respectful & inclusive of ALL diversities. We will not tolerate any behaviours that make others feel unsafe. Participants who demonstrate inappropriate behaviour or are disrespectful to others will be asked to leave our Gallery.
- Classes at the Gallery of Good are limited to 6 students in total per session allowing a comfortable intimate learning atmosphere while allowing plenty of one-on-one teaching time for each student in order to enjoy the best learning experience.
- We will explore the different hand-building methods of slab, coil & pinch pots. We will have some set projects to help build an understanding of clay and its possibilities but also a lot of time to explore your own ideas using the knowledge you gain along the way.
- Students are encouraged to search the internet, magazines etc for inspiration and to make a visual diary of ideas (either using a book or making a pinterest board) - however, please be respectful of artists copyright and while I encourage you to be inspired by others work, please do not copy. Discussion of ideas at each session is a valuable learning tool for all students so I encourage sharing & conversation about your visual diaries at each session.
- Use of all studio equipment, underglazes and studio glazes is included in the cost.
- Children are to be supervised by parent at all times.
- Use of all studio equipment, clay (white earthenware & terracotta), underglazes and studio glazes is included in the cost (use of some other glazes may be negotiated with Ruth at extra cost but please understand not all glazes are made available to use by students)
- Work from the term will be available 4 weeks after the term completion. Any pieces remaining uncollected will be destroyed.
- ALL pieces must be labelled clearly with the makers name. No liability is made for lost work.
- Please note: We do not take any responsibility for student’s work cracking during any part of the making process. Most often this is how the maker assembled the piece. Whilst we endeavour to teach you how to avoid this during the making process, unfortunately sometimes losses occur during the pottery making process. No guarantees are made to final pieces coming out whole. It is all part of the learning experience of pottery.
- The Gallery of Good disclaims to the extent permitted by law all liability whatsoever for any loss, injury, or damage sustained by any customer or third party, whether to person or property, arising out of any workshop or related activity offered by the Gallery of Good.

STUDENT TESTIMONIALS:
We loved the parents and kids pottery course, it exceeded our expectations in so many ways! What an amazing teacher and human Ruth is. And what a gorgeous, safe, friendly, creative environment she and the Gallery of Good create. We loved the incredible support of our creativity, the cats (who cared more about pats that what we were making :), and how positive Ruth was about our creations (even the wonky wheel bowls that turned into a candlestick and milk jug). I plan on keeping coming back as often as Ruth will allow it. Thank you, your Gallery really does spread Good and my soul has been enriched by this course, your concerts and just knowing you. oxoxoxoxo
"The Gallery of Good is such a positive, warm environment to learn and create in. Ruth offers such skill, encouragement and absolutely no judgment. It soon becomes your happy place. I would never have called myself creative but I feel it here."
"Pottery at Gallery of Good isn't just pottery. It's a social interaction of laughter and connectivity with others. It is an experience of learning and growing one's self confidence in an accept all attitude. Where you are praised for your individuality and leaving not only with knowing more about pottery, but a feeling of happiness and contentment with your life. I highly recommend Ruth's classes."
"Gallery of Good - “good” is one word to describe the incredible, warm and hilarious environment that Ruth has. I have never been an art person, and I am a perfectionist to say the least. But I have found my happiness through Ruth’s guidance she has praised the imperfections and made me realise when things don’t go the way I vision, they can still be beautiful. I would never have thought I was enjoy myself this much or fall in love with pottery and ceramics , but here I am! I highly recommend anyone and everyone to take part in this wonderful and EPIC class ❤️."

Made in the Gallery of Good
All of Ruth’s ceramics are made with LOVE in her purpose built studio, The Gallery of Good, on the lands of the GunaiKurnai peoples, in the Strzelecki ranges joust outside of Trafalgar in West Gippsland, Victoria, AUSTRALIA.
Every piece is intended to bring joy and as a reminder of the importance of love; hence why Ruth uses a love heart in her makers mark on the bottom of each piece and you will often see love hearts used decoratively across her work.
